「美の中を歩く」　ナバホ族の生き方

BSテレビの再放送だったろうか・・・。

タレントの原千晶さんが、アメリカインディアンのナバホ（Navajo）族を訪ねる番組を目にした。

原さんは、子宮ガンと戦っている。

再発もありうるかもしれないという。

そうした中で、ナバホの「美の中で終わる」という言葉を知り、こころ惹かれていた。

ナバホは、独自の世界観を持っている。

「死」については考えない。

「死」ではなく、考えるのは、ただ「美の中を歩く」ことだという。

ナバホの「美」とは、人生におけるあらゆる物事、人々、自然、動物、植物、感情、天気などとの「調和」を意味している。

「美の中を歩く　Walking in Beauty」という祈りの一節から。

「私は、美の中を歩く

前にある美とともに歩く

後ろにある美とともに歩く

私の上にある美とともに歩く

私の回りにある美とともに歩く・・・」
